As ferry services between the Turkish province of Hatay and Girne begin, a concert was given in Girne on Thursday night by the world-famous Hatay Chorus of Civilizations, which was nominated for the 2012 Nobel Peace Prize.

Addressing the event, President Ersin Tatar emphasized the importance of developing relations in every field between the Turkish Cypriot People and Motherland Turkiye.

Tatar said that he believed that the economic, cultural, touristic, social relations, trust and destiny between the two countries would further develop with the sea bus services between Hatay and Girne.

“The strengthening of the Turkish Cypriot people in the Eastern Mediterranean, and strengthening relations between the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) and Turkiye which is one of the greatest forces in the region, will assist them in achieving peace, prosperity and happiness” said Tatar.

He added that the Turkish Cypriot people are an inseparable part of Turkiye.

“It is our greatest wish to develop relations in every field between the Turkish Cypriot people who are an inseparable part of Motherland Turkiye” he said.
