Töre receives delegation from Hatay

The Speaker of the Republic’s Assembly Zorlu Töre said that the Turkish Cypriot people, in solidarity with motherland Turkiye, want to move the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) forward.

The parliamentary speaker made the statement during a visit paid to him by a delegation from the Hatay province, which came to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus on the Hatay Sea Bus which realised its first trip in international waters to the TRNC on Thursday.

Hatay Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Lütfü Savaş, Republican People’s Party (CHP) Deputies İsmet Tokdemir, Mehmet Güzelmansur, Suzan Şahin and Serkan Topal, as well as Hatay’s Arsuz District Mayor Asaf Güven, Samandağ District Mayor Refik Eryılmaz and Good Party (IP), Felicity Party (SP) and officials of the Future Party (GP)from Hatay made up the delegation that visited the parliamentary speaker.

Speaking during the visit Töre stated that the Turkish Cypriot people love every inch of motherland Turkiye and noted that there is a population that has migrated from Hatay to the TNRC and therefore with the beginning of ferry services now they are one step closer to their home country.

Emphasizing that Turkiye’s unity, peace and integrity is very important to the TRNC, Parliamentary Speaker Töre said “We are all inspired by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. The Turkish Cypriot people desire to move the TRNC forward in solidarity with Motherland Turkey.”
