Health Minister İzlem Gürçağ Altuğra has stressed that her aim is to provide better health services to the public.

Minister Altuğra was speaking during a visit to the Güzelyurt Health Centre and the Kalkanlı Nursing Home on Wednesday.

She also visited the Health and Social Sciences University Cyprus in Güzelyurt.

Speaking during her visit to the Güzelyurt Health Centre, Minister Altuğra referred to the problems being experienced at the centre due to the high number of patients and doctor shortages.

Stating that the public in the area was demanding the urgent completion of the unfinished construction of the Güzelyurt Hospital, she said the people in the region should be provided with better health services.

The Health Minister who also visited the Kalkanlı Nursing Home said that they will take steps towards addressing the problems at the nursing home.

Speaking during her visit to the Health and Social Sciences University Cyprus, Minister Altuğra referred to the importance of the socio-economic and health contributions of the university to the area and the country.
