Parliamentary Speaker Zorlu Töre paid a visit to the Lefke Walnut Festival and the Güzelyurt Open Market over the weekend.
Parliamentary Speaker Zorlu Töre visited the 12th Lefke Walnut Festival over the weekend and visited the stands that were set up in line with the festival.
Speaking during the visit the parliamentary speaker said that Lefke was one of the most exceptional places in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and also emphasized the importance of highlighting the products and cultures unique to each region in the country.
Noting that it is gratifying that many activities that have been postponed due to the pandemic period are slowly being held again, Töre stated that such events give morale and motivation to the public despite the many difficulties currently being experienced.
Parliamentary Speaker Töre also visited the Güzelyurt open market place and spoke with tradesmen and citizens while shopping.
