Showers on the horizon

It will be partly sunny on Tuesday with isolated showers and thunderstorms all across the island in the afternoon, bringing a short relief from the hot weather.

The Met Office on Tuesday issued a yellow warning for heavy storms between 11 in the morning and six in the evening.

The local showers are expected to bring some relief to the island’s hot and dusty conditions.

The isolated showers are expected to continue until Thursday, June 16.

Winds will be Southerly and Westerly moderate, with over slight to moderate sea waters.

Strong winds are expected during downpours.

The temperature will rise to 32 C inland and  29 C in coastal areas steadily rising towards the end of the week.
