The Minister of Interior Ziya Öztürkler came together on Wednesday with Turkish Deputy Interior Minister Mehmet Ersoy who is in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) to watch the 2022 Caner Gönyeli Search and Rescue Exercise.

Öztürkler and Ersoy exchanged warm messages during the courtesy visit held at the Ministry of Interior.

The Turkish Deputy Interior Minister Mehmet Ersoy who is in the TRNC to observe the 2022 Martyr Lieutenant Caner Gönyeli Search and Rescue Exercise paid a courtesy visit to his TRNC counterpart Ziya Öztürkler on Wednesday.

Speaking during the visit, Minister Öztürkler drew attention to the importance of further developing relations and cooperation between their respective countries which shared a cultural and historic bond.

He said that he was extremely happy to be hosting his Turkish counterpart in the TRNC.

The Turkish Deputy Interior Minister Mehmet Ersoy for his part said that he too was happy for being in the TRNC and said he was looking forward to enhancing cooperation in various fields.

He wished Minister Öztürkler success in his new post.
