The Committee on Missing Persons in Cyprus which continues its work to find and identify the remains of missing persons on the island announced that it has discovered the remains of a missing person in a wooded area at Esentepe in Girne.

According to information released by the Office of the Turkish Cypriot Member of the Committee on Missing Persons’, an excavation team discovered the remains of a missing person at Esentepe which is located east of Girne.

The excavation work which was launched by an expert team following information obtained from a source is continuing, the statement said.
