The Speaker of Parliament Zorlu Töre has said that all foreign students graduating from universities in the country are ambassadors of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) when they return to their country.

Töre was speaking during the graduation ceremony of the Cyprus Science University on Monday evening.

Addressing the graduates at the ceremony, Parliamentary Speaker Zorlu Töre said that Türkiye and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) were inseparable from each other.

“The flags of these two countries are the flags of our hearts.”

Referring to the games being played which were aimed to end the existence of the TRNC and motherland Türkiye’s guarantees, he said, “This is not possible. It is not possible to separate our nation from motherland Türkiye.

Töre stressed that their countries will continue to act together.

Expressing the need to attach importance to science and humanity, he asked the graduating students to never stop harbouring humanist feelings and to always love humanity.

“Heroism is to never let the flag fall. Heroism is to pick up the flag before it falls and carry it forward,” Töre added.

The parliamentary speaker concluded his remarks by stating that each foreign student who graduated from a university in the TRNC served as an ambassador when they returned to their country.
