According to information given to TAK news agency by his daughter National Unity Party MP Resmiye Canaltay, former President Derviş Eroğlu was taken to the Near East University Hospital after becoming dizzy and falling due to high blood pressure.
He was placed under observation at the hospital and is doing well.
She said that her father’s condition was good, that his blood pressure was under control, and that news of his death in some media outlets was not true and demanded that unfounded news be disregarded.
The head of the Near East University Hospital’s Department of Cardiology Prof. Dr. Hamza Duygu posted an update on Eroğlu’s condition via social media.
Prof. Dr. Duygu shared a picture with Derviş Eroğlu and wrote “Our 3rd President Dr. Derviş Eroğlu has been placed under observation for blood pressure and rhythm monitoring in our cardiology service. There is no life-threatening condition. We wish him well”.
