Prime Minister Ünal Üstel has announced that the Cyprus Turkish Electricity Authority (KIB-TEK) has been put under the management of the Prime Ministry following the need that emerged due to the latest developments experienced in the supply of electricity.
Üstel said that all necessary measures will be taken to ensure that the electricity authority provides an uninterrupted energy supply in an efficient, suitable and accountable way.
Referring to the decision taken for the Cyprus Turkish Electricity Authority (KIB-TEK) to be put under the management of the Prime Ministry, Prime Minister Ünal Üstel said that the decision was a necessity following the latest developments experienced in the energy supply.
In a written statement on Monday, Üstel pointed out that KIB-TEK was one of the most important institutions of the country and noted that under the Prime Ministry all kinds of initiatives will be taken to ensure that KIB-TEK will supply uninterrupted energy and make a positive contribution to the country’s economy.
