The Meteorology Department has warned of scorching temperatures this week.
Temperatures are set to soar therefore everyone is being warned to take precautionary measures and stay hydrated.
The Meteorology Department has announced that hot weather will continue throughout the week as it stated that the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus will be under the influence of a hot and humid air mass with low pressure fronts.
Accordingly, the weather will be clear and slightly cloudy today, tomorrow, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and partly foggy in the mornings.
On Sunday, August 7 and Monday, August 8, the skies will be clear yet partly cloudy at times.
The highest temperature will be around 38-41 degrees Celsius inland and 33-36 degrees Celsius on the coasts.
Wind will be moderately strong at times.
