Doğukan Ulaç from TRNC wins first place in the men’s category

Doğukan Ulaç from the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) won first place in the men’s category in the 34th Bosphorus Cross Continental Swimming Race, one of the world’s leading swimming organizations.

The 34th Samsung Bosphorus Cross Continental Swimming Race Organized by the Turkish National Olympic Committee was held in the Bosphorus on Sunday.

2,441 swimmers from five continents participated in the Bosphorus Cross Continental Swimming Race which is one of the world’s leading swimming organizations.

Doğukan Ulaç from the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus came first at the race with a time of 48.13 minutes.

Turkish Minister of Youth and Sports Mehmet Muharrem Kasapoğlu presented the champion swimmer Doğukan Ulaç with his medal and plaque.

Meanwhile, President Ersin Tatar congratulated Doğukan Ulaç, who won the first place in the 34th Bosphorus Cross Continental Swimming Race.

“It is with great pleasure that I learned that Turkish Cypriot athlete Doğukan Ulaç, who competed in the 34th Samsung Bosphorus Cross Continental Swimming Race organized by the National Olympic Committee of Türkiye, achieved a historic success by coming 1st in the general classification with a time of 48.13 minutes,” Tatar wrote on his social media account.

“Doğukan’s success is the most up-to-date example of how Turkish Cypriot athletes can achieve great success when given the opportunity. I would like to congratulate Doğukan Ulaç, thank him, his coach and family” the president added.
