PM Üstel speaks to BRT

Prime Minister Ünal Üstel evaluated the municipalities’ reform and the developments that have taken place during the process to the BRT this morning.

Prime Minister Ünal Üstel, who was guest of the Manşet + program broadcast on BRT, answered questions on the Special Law on the Unification of Municipalities, which envisages reducing the number of municipalities to 18.

He also discussed the developments that took place during the general assembly of parliament and answered questions regarding the Municipalities Amendment Draft Law that was discussed at the relevant committee.

He drew attention to the pandemic and the Russian-Ukraine war by saying that the whole world had been affected by these and added that the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus also felt the effects and they as the government were doing all they could to counter the problems that had emerged.

Reminding that they have also taken many steps in the field of tourism and education, the Prime Minister said that they have started working on creating a new structure so that both students and tourists who come to the country can apply with an E-visa in order to get a visa to enter the country.

“Nobody entering the country has the right to disturb the peace of our people. Anyone who violates it will be deported immediately. We are determined to bring the country into a better condition” he said.
