Tatar issues World Peace Day message

President Ersin Tatar issued a written message on Thursday marking September 1, World Peace Day.

In his message, President Tatar stated that everyone should do their part to establish long-awaited peace and justice for all the peoples of the world.

President Ersin Tatar in his September 1 World Peace Day message stated that the ongoing conflicts and acts of terrorism around the world, especially in Ukraine, revealed once again the importance of peace.

“In today’s world where violence and injustice continues to grow in many regions and terrorism has become a global scourge, everyone must do their part to establish much-awaited peace and justice amongst all peoples of the world, before it is too late,” the President stressed.

“I wish everyone a happy World Peace Day with my most heartfelt feelings,” Tatar said, pointing out that the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, adopted Mustafa Kemal Atatürk’s principle of “Peace at home, Peace in the world” as a fundamental and indispensable principle.
