The 4th Cultural Adaptation event was realised in İskele on Sunday.

The event organised by the İskele Municipality began with a cortege.

Events here continued with a folk dance performance by the İskele Municipality Folk Dance team.

The Mayor of İskele Hasan Sadıkoğlu addressed those who attended the event by saying that even though their religion, language and culture are different, citizens who breathe the same air and take root in these lands come together at such events, fusing their cultures.

Noting that the event could not be held for 3 years due to the pandemic, Sadıkoğlu stated that they continue to work to bring the İskele region to a position it deserves.

After a performance from the Black Sea Culture Association’s Folk Dancing team the Minister of National Education Nazım Çavuşoğlu said that the İskele region was one of the most suitable areas for the meeting of cultures as there were many people from different countries who were now residing in the area.

Parliamentary Speaker Zorlu Töre also said a few words at the event.

He noted that people from different cultures were living in the İskele area.

Töre also said that it was necessary not to forget the past and to know the history of the country very well.

“We love humanity, we love everyone regardless of their colour as long as they do not harm us, our state or our country, as this land that we have is our homeland,” said Töre and thanked the Mayor of İskele and his team for hosting such an event.
