Mevlit Kandil, the holy night which marks the birth of Prophet Mohammad will be marked this evening.

Mevlit Kandil or Mawlid an-nabi which is realized on the 12th day of the month of Rabi-ul-Awwal according to the Hijri calendar, has been celebrated for centuries as a reflection of the love of the prophet on cultural life in Islamic societies.

Due to the Mevlid Kandili, a program will be organised at the Hala Sultan Mosque at 6.30 this evening and Prof. Dr. Ahmet Ünsal will take part in the program.

The Mevlid Kandili Program will be broadcast live on BRT 2.
