Representatives of the Kayseri Travel Agencies Association and the Cyprus Turkish Travel Agencies Association came together in Kayseri, Türkiye.

The meeting was organised to look into ways of expanding tourism operations in both Kayseri and the TRNC.

A total of 30 travel agencies from the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) and 25 from the Turkish province of Kayseri came together at the organisation organised jointly by TURSAB (the Association of Turkish Travel Agencies), KITSAB (Cyprus Turkish Travel Agencies Association) and ORAN (Central Anatolia Development Agency).

According to a statement issued by the Deputy Prime Ministry, the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment, the organisation was carried out to discuss how to expand tourism mutually.

A workshop was also organised within the framework of the joint organisation.

The regional head of TURSAB Ali Emre Martı said that both the TRNC and Kayseri were important tourism destinations.

KITSAB head Orhan Tolun said that developing tourism between the TRNC and Kayseri would be beneficial both culturally and economically.

The Undersecretary for the Deputy Prime Ministry, the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment Sertaç Aktunç said that more was needed to be done to promote the TRNC which was a rich tourism destination in terms of its culture, history and food.
