The President of the Cyprus Health Tourism Council and the National Unity Party (UBP) MP Ahmet Savaşan attended the “Health Tourism Workshop” organized by the Association of Turkish Travel Agencies in İzmir.

Travel agencies, hospitals and intermediary institutions operating in the field of health tourism took part in the three-day workshop.

The President of the Cyprus Health Tourism Council and the UBP MP Ahmet Savaşan also attended the opening of the event.

In his speech, Savaşan pointed out that the results of the workshop will have significant contributions to Türkiye’s and the TRNC’s economies.

He also noted that Türkiye is giving great support to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus in tourism as in all other fields.

Stating that people who wanted to get rid of the psychological effects and mental fatigue experienced during the Covid-19 pandemic opted for holidays that helped them recover, Savaşan also underlined that countries that offer wellness, Spa and thermal holidays will become important destinations in health tourism.
