Kurtulmuş says Ankara to protect its rights and interests

The Deputy Chairman of Türkiye’s Justice and Development Party (AKP) Numan Kurtulmuş has said that his country was determined and resolute in defending its sovereign rights in the Aegean and the Mediterranean.

Speaking to the Turkish daily, the Deputy AKP Chairman Numan Kurtulmuş said that problems experienced with neighbour country Greece should be solved through diplomacy and negotiations.

“Greece should not reject our offers to settle our disagreements through diplomacy. Athens should not rely too much on those patting it on the back. They will abandon Greece when the tough gets going,” said Kurtuluş.

He added that to the contrary Türkiye’s vision for peace was real, just and genuine.         The AKP chairman also said that Ankara was determined and resolute in defending its sovereign rights in the Aegean and the Mediterranean.

“Türkiye will never allow a fait accompli in the region or bow down to threats,” he added.
