Prime Minister Ünal Üstel received the Deputy Chairman of the Justice and Development Party (AKP), Bursa MP Efkan Ala.

Speaking during the meeting, Prime Minister Üstel stressed that Türkiye and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) were determined to act together on the national cause.

The Deputy Chairman of the Justice and Development Party (AKP), Bursa MP Efkan Ala and his accompanying delegation paid a visit to Prime Minister Ünal Üstel on Tuesday.

Speaking during the visit, Ala emphasized that as motherland Türkiye they always stood by the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

“The whole world knows our stance on the Cyprus Issue. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has laid down the basic principles. We want the recognition of the TRNC. We will continue to protect our rights and interests in the Eastern Mediterranean,” Ala said.

Prime Minister Ünal Üstel for his part expressed his happiness from seeing the delegation in the TRNC.

“We are tied to our motherland Türkiye through a bond that goes back in history. We are determined to act together on the national cause. Motherland Turkiye is with us at every platform,” Üstel said.

Referring to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s speech at the United Nations General Assembly, Prime Minister Üstel said that they wholeheartedly supported Erdoğan’s call for the recognition of the TRNC.
