Fahri Yönlüer has been appointed as the Representative of Justice and Development Party (AKP) in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

Within this framework, a handover ceremony was held at the AKP TRNC Representative Office.

The Justice and Development Party Deputy Chairman for Foreign Relations and Bursa MP Efkan Ala, who is holding contacts in the TRNC, also attended the ceremony.

The AKP TRNC Representative Sıtkı Öztekin handed over his duty to Fahri Yönlüer.

Speaking at the ceremony, Efkan Ala referred to his contacts in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and said that they had the opportunity to evaluate the relations between the Republic of Türkiye and the TRNC during his meetings with TRNC officials.

He also stressed that they encourage all policies that will support the TRNC to take its place in international platforms as a sovereign state.

“We are following a decent foreign policy, we are not interested in anyone’s rights and we will not allow anyone to interfere in our rights” Ala said and added that this foreign policy was appreciated by the world and was achieving results.
