The Turkish Deputy Chairman of the Justice and Development Party (AKP) for Foreign Relations, Bursa MP Efkan Ala held contacts in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).

Within the framework of his contacts, Ala was received by President Ersin Tatar.

President Ersin Tatar received the Deputy Chairman of the Justice and Development Party (AKP) for Foreign Relations and Bursa MP Efkan Ala and his accompanying delegation at the Presidential Palace on Tuesday.

Speaking during the visit, President Tatar stressed that the Turkish Cypriots had always been in harmony with the Republic of Türkiye.

Stating that they had been aiming to strengthen the state for years, Tatar by referring to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s call for the recognition of the TRNC at the UN General Assembly, said that this call gave strength to the TRNC and had became an inspiration for strengthening the new politics.

“The support of Türkiye is important to us as we defend our rights and law in the Eastern Mediterranean. First of all, I would like to thank Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and you for the support you have given us in every field” he said.
