President Ersin Tatar received separately the Mayor of Eskişehir Tepebaşı Ahmet Ataç and the head of the International Union of Muslim Scholars’ Türkiye Youth Commission delegations Abdülaziz Kıranşal on Monday.

Speaking during the visit, President Tatar stated that Eskişehir was identified with martyred pilot Captain Cengiz Topel- the symbol of the Turkish Cypriot national struggle.
“The Republic of Türkiye is a big country. The important thing is to further strengthen the current bonds between us. Eskişehir, as a developing province with its universities and culture, provides great services to the people of the region. Mutual studies should continue. This is the wealth of our country. Cooperation with institutions and organizations strengthens the ground of our state” Tatar said.
He also thanked the Eskişehir Tepebaşı mayor and members of the municipal council for their visit.
President Tatar also received the Head of the International Union of Muslim Scholars’ Türkiye Youth Commission Abdulaziz Kıranşal and his accompanying delegation.
Speaking during the visit, Tatar said that the main basis of the struggle of the Turkish Cypriot people in Cyprus was its culture, and history, adding that the support and cooperation of motherland Türkiye was strengthening their existence on the island.
“The important thing is the continuation of Turkish presence in Cyprus. The history of Cyprus is full of pain and struggles. We still have missing persons who have not been found. Türkiye’s guarantees in Cyprus must continue in order for the Turkish Cypriot people, who are an inseparable part of the great Turkish nation, to live in prosperity and peace as well as the maintenance of peace on the island. The heroic Turkish army must remain a deterrent on the island,” President Tatar said.
