Visits continue to the photograph exhibition titled “Döngü”, which is about the Central Prison and opened at Bayrak Radio Television Corporation (BRTK) in order to raise social awareness.
The Board of the Turkish Cypriot Women Entrepreneurs Association (GİKAD) visited the exhibition on Tuesday morning.
Within the scope of the visit, the projects that can be realised allow women in prison to contribute to the economy were also evaluated.
The Board of the Turkish Cypriot Women Entrepreneurs Association, chaired by İçim Kavuklu, visited Bayrak Radio Television Corporation and toured the exhibition titled “Döngü”.
The project manager of the exhibition and BRTK Director, Meryem Özkurt and Curator Ayhatun Ateşin, gave information to the members of GİKAD regarding details of the 40 photographs in the exhibition and the stories behind the photographs.
Speaking after visiting the exhibition, the President of GİKAD İçim Kavuklu stated that they were very impressed.
Noting that the photographs described the life cycle in the Central Prison, she said everyone should act with the awareness that one day they may too end up in prison.
Opened as part of October 8 Prison Wardens Day, the photograph exhibition titled “Döngü” is the story about the prisoners, the guard and the prison.
The exhibition can be visited until the 10th of November in the entrance hall of BRTK HD Studios.
