A delegation from the Republic’s Assembly is holding contacts in Brussels.

Within the scope of their contacts, the parliamentary delegation which consists of the National Unity Party (UBP) Gazimağusa Deputy Oğuzhan Hasipoğlu and the Republican Turkish Party (CTP) Girne Deputy Fikri Toros came together with European Parliament deputies from different political groups.

According to a statement released by the Parliament, the European Parliamentary delegation of the Republic’s Assembly shared their views and demands of the Turkish Cypriot side within the scope of the latest developments regarding the Cyprus issue, the expectations of the Turkish Cypriot side from the European Union and the development of its relations with the European Union.

The Parliamentary delegation will return to the republic on Thursday after completing its contacts.

The Republic’s Assembly Press and Foreign Relations Officer Asya Derya Erensoy, diplomats from the Brussels Representation office Begüm Tuncalı and Funda Bozkaya are accompanying the delegation.
