Turkish Vice President Fuat Oktay is holding a variety of important contacts in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).

Embarking on his contacts this morning, the Turkish Vice President first met with the Cyprus Turkish Entrepreneur Businesswomens Association, the Businesswomens Association and members of the Rural Development Women’s Cooperative at the Pendaya Garden in Yeşilyurt.

Prime Minister Ünal Üstel also accompanied Oktay.

In his speech during the meeting the Turish Vice President emphasized that Türkiye and the TRNC are an inseparable part of one another.

“When we look at Cyprus, we do not see just an island, Türkiye sees it as an indispensable part of Eastern Mediterranean policies. For the security of Cyprus and Türkiye, Cyprus is an inseperable part of Türkiye” said Oktay.

He also stated that they want to see North Cyprus as a prosperous country that produces and exports what it produces.

“If you want to realize a transformation, if you want a structure that stands firm on production, you can do it with women and youth” said Oktay.

Prime Minister Ünal Üstel during his speech at the event noted that Turkish Cypriot women who carry out their crafts at home and  produced  are further developing thanks to the associations and cooperatives they have established over time.

Üstel said that as the government, they will give all the support that is neccessary in order for women to further develop their work.

Meanwhile the Turkish Vice President will also delivered a speech at a collective opening and promotion ceremony that will be held at the Prime Ministry Data Centre in Lefkoşa.

Among the projects that are to be launched are the TRNC Public Data Centre, the Güzelyurt-Lefke and Balalan-Yenierenköy road and a 90-kilometer village road.

In addition, the first stage of the Central Mesarya Plain Irrigation Transmission Pipeline, which is an important part of the water supply project from Türkiye to the TRNC and the 207-kilometer Warehouse Connection Line Project, will also be introduced to the public.

Turkish Vice President Oktay’s contacts are being broadcast live on BRT.
