President Ersin Tatar received Turkish Vice-President Fuat Oktay, who held a series of meetings and held collective openings in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) throughout Wednesday.

Prime Minister Ünal Üstel, Turkish Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu and Turkish Ambassador to Lefkoşa Ali Murat Başçeri were also present at the meeting that took place at the Presidential Palace.

No statement was issued before or after the meeting.

Turkish Vice-President Oktay left the island by private plane after the meeting.
