The Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Zorlu Töre has expressed his joy and happiness over the country’s admittance into the Organisation of Turkic States (OTS) as an observer member.

In a message issued on Friday, the TRNC Parliamentary Speaker Zorlu Töre said that the Turkish Cypriot people were feeling great joy and pride over the TRNC’s admittance into the Organisation of Turkic States as an observer member.

“The TRNC will continue to exist forever. Recognition will definitely come one day and we will then become full members. I would like to thank Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the heads of state of the Turkic countries. We are eternally grateful. Long live Turkic unity and long live the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus,” he said.
