The outgoing Turkish Ambassador to Lefkoşa, Ali Murat Başçeri attended a “Loyalty” event on Thursday organized jointly by the TRNC Religious Affairs Department and the Religious Services Counsellor of the Turkish Embassy in Lefkoşa.

According to the information given by the Presidency of the Religious Affairs Department, Religious Services Counsellor Abdülkadir Boşal expressed his gratitude to Başceri during the “Loyalty” event organized for Turkish Ambassador to Lefkoşa Ali Murat Başçeri whose term in the TRNC has ended.

The Head of the Religious Affairs Department Ahmet Ünsal stated that since the day he assumed his post in Lefkoşa, Başçeri had never spared his support, and that this support was crowned with his efforts for the two personnel from the Religious Affairs Department to become a member of the Board of Directors of the Evkaf Foundation and the Religious Affairs Department.

Noting that serving in the TRNC had its challenges, Ünsal stated that the ambassador’s diplomatic skills and his grasp of diplomacy was also revealed in using religious literature, and that Ali Murat Başçeri had a much more positive image than the usual diplomat profile.
