Minister Arıklı: We are starting negotiations with two separate companies

The Minister of Public Works and Transportation Erhan Arıklı has announced that works for the establishment of a national airline company will be resumed.

Stating that two new airline companies will start flights to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus as of March, Minister Arıklı said “we are starting negotiations with two separate companies. We may even get a result this weekend.”

The Minister of Public Works and Transportation Erhan Arıklı announced during a program he attended on BRT on Monday morning that there were new developments in establishing a national airline.

Stating that two new companies will enter the market with TRNC flights as of March, he said “as of this weekend, we are restarting our efforts to establish a new national airline company. We are starting negotiations again with two different companies.”

Stressing that it was their duty to establish a new airline and ensure that new actors enter the market, Arıklı said that they will continue to work without hiding behind excuses.

Minister Arıklı also pointed out that work on the new airline company could be completed before the election.
