The new Turkish Ambassador to Lefkoşa Metin Feyzioğlu is continuing to hold meetings with representatives of leading economic sectors in the country.

Within the framework of his visits, Feyzioğlu met with officials from the Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Commerce (KTTO) on Thursday.

The TRNC economy was discussed at a meeting held at the Turkish Embassy on Thursday under the chairmanship of the new Turkish Ambassador Metin Feyzioğlu.

Among the issues discussed at the meeting was ways to develop commercial relations between the TRNC and Türkiye, seeking financial assistance to business enterprises, the establishment of an internationally accredited Food Testing Laboratory and the renewal of the current State Laboratory, privatising various state-owned enterprises through a build, operate-transfer model, increasing alternative energy production capacities, broadening energy alternatives, easing access to loans for foreign investors and businessmen operating in the TRNC, the development of agriculture-based industry as well as offering training programmes for producers on achieving TSE (Turkish Standards Institute) standards in production.
