PM Üstel receives Turkish Ambassador Feyzioğlu

The new Turkish Ambassador to Lefkoşa Metin Feyzioğlu was received by Prime Minister Ünal Üstel today.

The two drew attention to the unbreakable bond that exists between Türkiye and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).

Prime Minister Ünal Üstel recieved on Friday the newly appointed Turkish Ambassador to Lefkoşa Metin Feyzioğlu who is carrying out courtesy visits to state and government officials.

Speaking during the visit, Feyzioğlu said that both the Turkish Cypriot people and the TRNC were indispensible for the Republic of Türkiye.

He said that Ankara will continue to stand by the Turkish Cypriot people under all conditions.

Pointing out that the Greek Cypriot side did not desire peace in Cyprus; the Turkish Ambassador reminded that it was Türkiye which had brought peace to the island in 1974.

For his part, Prime Minister Ünal Üstel expressed his gratitude to Türkiye and the Turkish government for its endless support to the Turkish Cyprot people.

He also said that there was no going back on the two-state policy or giving up the demand for the recognition of the sovereign equality of the Turkish Cypriot people.
