The Speaker of the Legislative assembly Zorlu Töre received the head of the Istanbul Türkiye-Azerbaijan Solidarity and Culture Association Sefer Karakoyunlu and his accompanying delegation.

Speaking during the visit the head of the Association Karakoyunlu said that they were very happy to have the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus as an observer member in the Organization of Turkic States.

Parliamentary Speaker Zorlu Töre for his part stated that the Turkish Cypriot people are in solidarity with the Turkic World and said that they always desire the Turkic state and communities to be strong.

Noting that the United Nation’s Security Council’s attitude towards the Turkic states is obvious, Töre emphasized that many gains have been achieved with the recent emergence of Türkiye as an effective power in its region.

Töre stated that their expectations are beyond the observer membership of the TRNC to the Organization of Turkic States and added that they expect many countries to recognize the TRNC in the period ahead.
