Tatar gives farewell dinner to Garber

President Ersin Tatar gave a farewell dinner to the United States Ambassador to Lefkoşa Judith Garber.

President Tatar reminded Garber that the negotiations on the federal ground are now exhausted.

President Ersin Tatar gave a farewell dinner to the United States Ambassador (US) to Lefkoşa Judith Garber who is about to complete her term in office.

Tatar reminded Ambassador Garber that the way to achieve sustainable peace and stability in Cyprus and the Eastern Mediterranean is through the sovereign equality of the two sides and their equal international status.

He also stated that the Turkish Cypriot people will not give up on their vested rights and that the two sides can move forward by cooperating adding that the negotiations on a federal basis have been exhausted.

The President’s Special Representative Ergün Olgun, Bilateral Technical Committees Coordinator Güneş Onar, Legal Affairs Advisor Sülen Karabacak, International Relations & Diplomacy Special Advisor Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Işıksal, Foreign Press Officer Kerem Haser and Translator Laden Aktaşlılar were also present at the dinner.
