2022 Financial and Economic Protocol signed today

Prime Minister Faiz Sucuoğlu has met with the Turkish Vice President Fuat Oktay within the framework of his contacts in the Turkish capital Ankara.

Sucuoğlu’s contacts are focused on the 2022 Financial and Economic Protocol which is finalized and signed on Thursday.

The leaders of political parties of the coalition government, related ministers and bureaucrats are accompanying the Prime Minister during the visit.

Embarking on his contacts in the Turkish capital on Wednesday, Sucuoğlu came together with the Chairman of the Turkiye-TRNC Inter-parliamentary Friendship Group Orhan Erdem and a member of the group the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) MP Ahmet Erbaş and some other Justice and Development Party and MHP MPs.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment Fikri Ataoğlu, the Minister of Public Works and Transportation Erhan Arıklı, The TRNC Ambassador to Ankara Kemal Köprülü and MPs İsmail Kaya, Metin Gündoğdu, Tamer Dağlı, Eyüp Özsoy, Abdullah Güler, Şamil Ayrım, Feyzi Berdibek and Nevzat Şatıroğlu were also present at the meeting.

Bilateral relations, current economic and political developments and the energy issue were among the issues discussed during the meeting.
