Covid-19 cases in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus continued to show an upward trend over the past week.

More than 2000 cases and one death were reported for the period between June 29 and July 5.

Despite an earlier drop in Covid-19 cases around the world and hope that the pandemic was finally ending, cases have started to show an upward trend again.

The number of daily Covid-19 tests carried out by the Ministry of Health has increased following an increase with people showing symptoms of the virus.

Accordingly, 18,869 tests were carried out between June 29 and July 5 and a total of 2 thousand 251 positive cases were detected.

One person also died due to the virus this week.
