Bayrak Radio Television Corporation (BRTK) is preparing to celebrate the 59th anniversary of its establishment.
Bayrak Radio, which was established on December 25, 1963 with limited means, continues its broadcasts with 3 television channels and 6 radio stations under the umbrella of BRTK.
The head of the Board of Directors Salih Doratlı and BRT Director Meryem Özkurt are paying visits to state and government officials.
The Director of Bayrak Radio Television Corporation Meryem Özkurt and the head of the Board of Directors Salih Doratlı visited the Turkish News Agency (TAK) where they came together with TAK Director Fehmi Gürdallı.
Özkurt and Doratlı handed an invitation to Gürdallı for the reception to be held on Friday, December 23 in celebration of the 59th anniversary of the corporation.
Speaking during the visit, Gürdallı noted that BRTK, which has a 59 year history, had an important place for the TRNC press and maintained its importance as a public institution.
He also thanked Özkurt and Doratlı for their visit and invitation.
BRT Director Özkurt for her part noted that institutions like the BRT and TAK, on the one hand, served for the public’s freedom of information by providing fast and accurate news, and on the other, were struggling with disinformation, which is the biggest problem of the media today.
