The General Secretary of the Republican Turkish Party (CTP) Asım Akansoy said on Monday that his party will be evaluating the results of the local elections within its authorized bodies.

Noting that the CTP candidates won in three of the six districts, Akansoy said they were also disappointed over losing some of the municipalities.

Evaluating the results of the local elections to BRT via phone, the General Secretary of the Republican Turkish Party (CTP) Asım Akansoy said that the party’s authorized bodies will meet in the coming days for a more thorough evaluation of the election results.

Noting that the CTP’s candidates won in three of the six districts, he said they were also disappointed at having lost some of the municipalities such as Gönyeli.

Stating that there were different opinions with the UBP regarding the municipal reform law, Akansoy said that they will evaluate the proposals that could meet expectations.
