The General Secretary of the Democrat Party (DP) Serhat Akpınar also evaluated the elections results to BRT on Monday.
Akpınar said that the DP had succeeded in preserving its current status.
Evaluating the results of the elections during a programme he attended on BRT, the General Secretary of the Democrat Party Serhat Akpınar said that some segments of the public had given a message to the government.
He noted that the Democrat Party maintained its current status.
Pointing out that there were no winners or losers in the elections and that the main winner was the public’s expectations, Akpınar said that the DP had aimed to win 30 municipal council seats overall but fell short with just 15.
Noting that the DP will start working as of Monday according to the outcome of the elections, he added that his party’s focus from now on will be the amendment Law on Municipalities.
