“The Republic of Türkiye will continue to stand by the Turkish Cypriot people with all its determination,” said the Turkish Ambassador to Lefkoşa Metin Feyzioğlu who was received by the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC)

The new Turkish ambassador is carrying out courtesy visits to state and government officials.

Receiving the Turkish Ambassador to Lefkoşa Metin Feyzioğlu on Friday, the Speaker of the Republic’s Assembly Zorlu Töre said that not a single Turkish Cypriot would have existed today had it not been for the support of motherland Türkiye.

He said that the bond that existed between the two countries was unbreakable.

Also speaking, the Turkish Ambassador Metin Feyzioğlu said that he was in the service of the TRNC and the Turkish Cypriot people.

“The Republic of Türkiye will continue to stand by the Turkish Cypriot people with all its determination,” he said, adding that their priority will be to end or help ease the inhumane embargoes imposed on the Turkish Cypriot people.

He added that the admission of the TRNC to the Organisation of Turkic States was an important move in that direction.
