Aromatic Plant Production

The Cyprus Turkish Entrepreneurial Women’s Association (GİKAD) is launching a project on aromatic plant production.

Officials from the association paid a visit to the Minister of Agriculture and Natural Resources Dursun Oğuz on Monday where they provided information about the project and requested assistance.

Minister of Agriculture and Natural Resources Dursun Oğuz on Monday received the Head of the Cyprus Turkish Entrepreneurial Women’s Association (GIKAD) İçim Kavuklu and members of the Board of Directors of the Association.

Providing information about the work being carried out and the project on aromatic plant production on land owned by the Association, the association members requested help on necessary varieties and supplies in order to achieve a successful outcome from the project.

Minister Oğuz for his part noted that the aromatic plants suitable for the TRNC can be produced at stations of the Agricultural Research Institute adding that this will contribute to the economy.

Stating that alternative production in agriculture will provide a good source of income for the country, he said it was possible to further develop aromatic plant production in the country.
