Members of the Republic’s Assembly National Unity Party (UBP) MP Özdemir Berova and Republican Turkish Party (CTP) MP Armağan Candan who are also members of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) held a variety of contacts in Strasbourg last week.
UBP MP Özdemir Berova and CTP MP Armağan Candan who were in Strasbourg to attend the General Assembly meetings of the Council of Europe carried out a variety of contacts and held bilateral meetings.
The delegation who participated in a variety of meetings where Russia’s attack on Ukraine was on top of the agenda among other issues, also listened to the speeches delivered by the Irish Foreign Minister, the Greek President and the King of Netherlands at the PACE General Assembly.
The Assembly delegation also met with PACE President Tony Kox.
During the meeting, MP’s Berova and Candan exchanged information with Kox on the current developments in Cyprus and evaluated what the Turkish Cypriot delegation could do within the context of the work carried out by the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe in the coming period ahead.
