Bayrak Radio is 59 years old and although it began its broadcasts with little to no means it continues today with the latest technology and continues to be the voice of the Turkish Cypriot people.

Bayrak Radio Television Corporation (BRTK) is celebrating its 59th anniversary of establishment.

BRTK which started off as Bayrak Radio became the voice of the Turkish Cypriots during the years of the national struggle, providing much needed morale.

Bayrak Radio, which had a broadcast area of ​​only 2500 meters at the beginning, reached the capacity to address the Turkish Cypriots who were scattered all over the island on February 24, 1964.

Despite limited resources for 11 years, Bayrak radio became the voice of the Turkish Cypriot people.

59 years on, the corporation continues to be the voice of the Turkish Cypriot people with three television channels, six radio stations and online applications.

Now, BRT has realized the North Cyprus Smart TV project, which has started on all digital platforms.

It has made not only BRT but all local TV channels in our country obtainable from anywhere around the world.

Continuing its adventure for more than half a century with firm steps, Bayrak Radio Television Corporation continues to be the voice of the Turkish Cypriot people.
