Projects submitted by Bayrak Radio Television Corporation to the Development and Economic Cooperation Office of the Turkish Embassy in Lefkoşa to strengthen the eastern region radio broadcasts and to develop the Lefkoşa region’s radio broadcasts have been approved.
The implementation of the combined projects will begin once a protocol is signed between the relevant ministries of the two countries after the government is formed in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).
BRTK Director Meryem Özkurt said that with the implementation of the project, the voice of BRT Radios will be heard clearer throughout the country.
After a high level online meeting, discussions took place regarding the projects that foresee the replacement and strengthening of the FM transmitter systems.
From the TRNC, the Prime Ministry Undersecretary Hüseyin Amcaoğlu, BRTK Director Meryem Özkurt and Deputy Coordinator Transmitters officials took part in the online meeting.
From Turkiye, senior officials from the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, the TRT Transmitters Department officials and the Turkish Embassy in Lefkoşa’s Development and Economic Cooperation Office Coordinator Ömer Cihan attended the meeting.
