Cabinet reshuffle
Date Added: 10 March 2022

Prime Minister Faiz Sucuoğlu announced changes to his cabinet on Wednesday evening.

The changes came after Oğuzhan Hasipoğlu announced his resignation earlier in the day.

While Hasan Taçoy replaced Hasipoğlu as the new Minister of Labour and Social Security, Taçoy who previously held the post of foreign minister was replaced by Tahsin Ertuğruloğlu.

President Ersin Tatar approved the reshuffle on Wednesday evening.

Speaking to reporters after receiving approval for his new cabinet, Prime Minister Faiz Sucuoğlu said that the changes had become compulsory after Hasipoğlu’s resignation.

He however did not reveal the reason for the resignation.

“One of our colleagues has resigned. One of our colleagues has become a minister; the other has had his post changed in the cabinet. This is what has happened. I would like to wish them all the best at their new posts,” Sucuoğlu said.
