Canaltay: The budget will be taken up by the committee on November 17

The 2023 budget marathon will be taking place soon.

The head of the Parliamentary Committee on Economy, Finance, Budget and Planning, National Unity Party deputy Resmiye Eroğlu Canaltay announced that the committee will begin discussing the budget on November 17.

Canaltay reminded that they expect the budget to be submitted to the parliament by the 31st of October.

The head of the Economy, Finance, Budget and Planning Committee of the Republic’s Assembly, National Unity Party (UBP) Deputy Resmiye Eroğlu Canaltay took part on a program on BRT and evaluated the work being carried out by the committee.

Expalining that the committee is carring out one of the most important tasks for the country’s economy and financial structure, Canaltay noted that the committee will soon start its work on the 2023 budget.

“In line with our laws, the 2023 Fiscal Year Budget draft will be sent from the Council of Ministers to Parliament by the 31st of October. As the  committee, we will hold our first meeting on the 17th of November” said Canaltay.

Explaining that the world and naturally the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus are at a difficult economic juncture, she noted that everyone should work on projects that will increase the income of the country.
