The Minister of Agriculture and Natural Resources Nazım Çavuşoğlu attended the 7th Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Ministerial Conference on Food Security and Agricultural Development held in Istanbul.
Çavuşoğlu met with the Turkish Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Bekir Pakdemirli on the sidelines of the conference.
As part of his other contacts, Çavuşoğlu accompanied by his Undersecretary Emirali Deveci, attended the meetings under the TRNC’s observer member status.
According to a statement released by the Ministry, the theme of this year’s conference is “improving the food systems with the aim of maintaining food security in the OIC countries.”
During the three day conference which is being held from October 25-27, the aim will be to discuss the long term visions of the OIC countries, the organization’s organs and joint institutions, to get sustainable results and solutions from these discussions and to implement the Organization of Islamic Cooperation -2025 Action Program which was accepted during the 13th Islamic Summit in 2016.
