The Higher Committee for Infectious Diseases has updated the Covid-19 measures and restrictions in place.

According to the latest decisions, at least one parent or guardian of children attending primary school is required to undergo a rapid test every seven days if vaccinated or 72 hours if not vaccinated.

However, students studying in primary school from grade 1 to grade 7 are not required to undergo weekly rapid tests.

Teachers and staff at schools are required to undergo a rapid test every seven days if they are vaccinated or every three days if they are not vaccinated.

Level 3 (dark red) rules will continue to apply for inter-island crossings but several changes have been introduced.

While, a valid PCR or rapid test carried out in the last 7 days is required for fully vaccinated individuals, non-vaccinated individuals are required to present a negative PCR test carried out in the last 72 hours or a negative rapid test carried out in the last 48 hours when crossing.

Vaccinated persons whose validity periods for their vaccines are expired will be classified as non-vaccinated and will be subject to conditions set for non-vaccinated individuals.

Children between 5 and 11 years old and unvaccinated high-school students are required to present a negative PCR/rapid test carried out in the last 7 days.
