The cold and wet weather is set to continue today and tomorrow, the TRNC Meteorology Department announced on Wednesday.

Isolated showers are expected on Thursday followed by partly cloudy conditions on Friday.

Frost is expected in the early hours of the morning, particularly in low lying areas.

Skies are expected to clear by the weekend but rainy weather is expected to return on Sunday.

The highest temperatures in inland areas will be 12 degrees Celsius while temperatures will be around 15 degrees in coastal areas.

Winds will be northerly and westerly moderate becoming strong at times.
