The head of the Turkish Presidency’s Digital Transformation Office Ali Taha Koç, the Minister for Public Works and Transportation Erhan Arıklı and the Turkish Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu gave information regarding the opening and the projects at the Collective opening and Project Launch ceremony on Wednesday.
The head of the Turkish Presidency’s Digital Transformation Office Ali Taha Koç stated that just like in Türkiye the e-government project will also have positive repercussions in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
Stating that the TRNC Data Centre will effectively meet the technology infrastructure needs of public institutions 24/7 without interruption, Koç said that the Data Centre, which is a smart, safe and environmentally friendly structure, is in accordance with international standards.
The Minister for Public Works and Transportation Erhan Arıklı for his part pointed to the importance given by Türkiye to the e-government project and summarized the process that has taken place.
He also stated that reforms are essential for the development of the country and added that successful projects will continue with the help of Türkiye.
The Turkish Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu said that they continue to invest in transportation, which is one of the leading sectors, in order to make the development in the economy of the TRNC permanent.
Pointing to the common goal of transforming the TRNC into a centre of attraction in the Mediterranean, Karaismailoğlu underlined that Türkiye will continue to support the welfare and development of the TRNC.
He also gave the good news that flights between the TRNC and Trabzon will begin as of next month.
